Coaches Wanted!

If you are interested in being an on ice volunteer instructor, please know you are wanted, welcomed and your efforts are appreciated.  The more help we can get on the ice, the better experience we can provide for the kids.  Please note that in order to be an on ice volunteer, USA Hockey requires all coaches to be registered with USA Hockey (renewed every year), complete a background screening (good for 2 years), have their Level 1 coaching certification (new coaches need to be enrolled in the level 1 class), have their Age Specific certification (if you did this before for 8U, you’re fine) and complete USA Hockey Safe Sport Training (renew annually).  The NJPE coaching director will have access to USA Hockey’s credential records and the expectation is that these rules will be enforced throughout the entire Niagara Jr. Purple Eagle Hockey Association.

The NJPE 8U program is also looking for people to serve in leadership roles. Each of the three levels of Red, White and Blue need Lead Coaches. Also a Third Skate Head Coach, 7U Select Head Coach, and 8U Select Head Coach. Their responsibility is to prepare practice plans, manage their roster, assess the kids in their group for fair placement on teams, and manage the intra-league season for your group.  If interested please contact Chris Metro, Mite Division Director.

Off Ice Help Needed!

The Red, White and Blue coaching model for USA Hockey's ADM program uses a substantial amount of equipment for drills.  Any parent willing to serve in an equipment manager type of role and assist in putting back the dividers, pucks, cones and mini-nets  in the storage units, setting up the half-ice boards or assist in running the clock for games and practices, also needs to register with USA Hockey as a volunteer.  This registration is absolutely FREE, and only takes a few minutes. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
