Gary Hill Memorial Scholarship

The Niagara Junior Purple Eagles (NJPE) Hockey Organization issues the Gary Hill Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors who exhibit evidence of dedication to Niagara Hockey, extracurricular activities, humanitarianism, and academic achievement. Since1998, the total scholarship awards given by NJPE and the Hill family total $85,100.

The scholarship is named in honor of Coach Gary Hill who lived his life through these qualities. As a coach and friend to many young aspiring hockey players, he served as a respected role model by the hearts he touched. NJPE has given generous scholarships to our hockey organization since 1998. A plaque commemorating the scholarship winners is placed at Niagara University’s Dwyer Arena.

Scholarship forms will be placed in school guidance offices and at Dwyer Arena in March or April or you can contact Judy Villani at 278-4440 (work) or 579-3438 (cell)  for more information.
