Our NJPE Instructional/Lean to Skate Program is designed for children to develop hockey skills in a non-competitive, fun, positive and clean environment and all coaches are USA Hockey certified. The fall/winter session runs Saturdays and Sundays from September to March.
Please be prepared to arrive at Dwyer Arena at least 60 minutes before your scheduled ice time. You will need to sign in at our INSTRUCTIONAL table to receive your child’s name tag & jersey. Coaches will be there to answer any questions and guide you to the dressing rooms, help with any equipment and direct you to the rink. Please have your child dressed in all equipment with a mouthpiece and ready 10 minutes before your scheduled ice time; the session will last 50 minutes on ice.
Would you like to be an Instructional on-ice volunteer?
It's an easy three step process
(1) Register with USA Hockey as an player/coach: https://membership.usahockey.com/
(2) Complete the volunteer and coach background screening years, https://www.usahockey.com/backgroundscreen
As a courtesy to our coaches, assistant coaches, and on-ice volunteers the league offers reimbursement for the associated costs for 50%
