House Program

The Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles are gearing up for another great year of youth hockey at Niagara University's Dwyer Arena. This season's House Program will start the weekend after Labor Day (September 12th) and will run through the end of February. Ice times will typically be Saturdays and Sundays.

Before you can register, you'll need a USA Hockey Membership for the 2026-27 season.

We are offering the first 4 weeks Risk-Free for Learn To Skate! Your son or daughter can try hockey risk-free for the first 4 weeks and if you decide it isn't the right time, you can get a full refund of your NJPE registration fees!

Ages 2022 and older are allowed to register. Children with a 2023 birth year may register with permission and requires an experienced parent to be an on-ice helper.

We encourage all parents with skating or hockey experience to help on-ice. The more coaches we have the better program we can run for the kids!

Full equipment is required:

• Stick
• Skates
• Helmet
• Neck Guard
• Shoulder Pads
• Elbow Pads
• Gloves
• Pants
• Shin Guards

Skaters should have already completed the Instructional program (not just the Sabres Learn to play program). There will also be an optional weekly mite clinic session for $250 for the season for players to get extra instruction.

All full ice house teams will compete against other house teams in WNY. Teams will have ice on Saturday and Sundays and all players will receive a reversible jersey for home and away games plus socks.

***Please note that the registration has set roster limits in place. Any registrations exceeding the limits will be "waitlisted" until we get enough registrations for another team. This is first come first serve.



*** Goalies are free in the house program ages 10U and older. ***

*** We know we're going to need goalies at 10U, 12U, and 18U ***

The 10U teams will be available to a full roster of skaters (15) & goalies (2) on a first-come, first-serve basis. 10U teams will have 12 additional sheets of ice during the week this season. 

The 12U team will be available to a full roster of skaters (15) & goalies (2) on a first-come, first-serve basis. 12U teams will have 12 additional sheets of ice this season.

This team will be available to one full roster of skaters (18) & goalies (2) on a first-come, first-serve basis. 14U will skate 2 days per week, possibly 3 with an away game. 

One team will accept (18) skaters & goalies (2) on a first-come, first-serve basis.  16U will skate 2 days per week, possibly 3 with an away game.

One team will accept (18) skaters & goalies (2) on a first-come, first-serve basis.  18U will skate 2 days per week, possibly 3 with an away game. They will play in the WNYAHL MOHL league

**NOTE: There is currently a goalie interested and a number of skaters. We'll need more player interest before opening registration.**
